I wanted a new project that pushed my hand painted texture skills and hard/organic sculpting techniques. Helping me understand environment assets along with having little “environment building” pieces in my portfolio, rocks seemed to be a logical choice because of their wide use in games and how often the player would see them.
Within this page I’ll be posting a small series of rocks ranging from their overall size, to different species, and even artistic styles.
